Al Falah Academy conducted a Food drive to help Madinah Food Pantry stock our shelves beginning on February 28th to March 4th as a week long contest culiminating in an icecream party for the class who donated the most items as a motivational factor for the students. Alhamdullillah all of the donations brought in will help greatly.
Dr. Salimah Hunafa thanks the staff members, students and their families for the generosity in assisting those in need.
May Allah bless them tremendously for their efforts.
Happy New Year to all. We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy, In sha' Allah and we keep everyone in our duas that are sick and asking for healing. May Allah Subhana wa Ta'Ala grant them full shifa.
Alhamdullilah, we are now in partnership with Refugee Women's Network of Decatur, Georgia to serve the needs of our large refugee community. There has been a tremendous surge of refugees that have arrived since last summer that are all in need of food assistance and other forms of assistance to resettle here in America. These families arrive with little to nothing so their needs are great initially until they establish themselves. Many have huge extended families with many children and elders.
We are collecting food items for our winter food drive throughout January and February and also warm winter clothes (new or like new), blankets and bedding (new only), heaters and rugs. Anyone wishing to donate these items please contact me via text at 6784468737 or these items can be purchased and sent to us as well. In regards to food items we need many items that are quickly depleted every week. Anyone wishing to donate food please contact me via text as well and we will send a list of food items needed. There is also a current list on our website at www.madinahfoodpantry.org
Any monetary donations for these families can be sent via Zelle or Venmo using 6784468737 or via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. thru Bank of America transfer or on our website at www.madinahfoodpantry.org via PayPal. These families are in CRITICAL need of many items and do not have funds to purchase everything they need.
Jazak Allah Khair for any and all support! May Allah Subhana wa Ta'Ala allow us all to come forth and serve our local community as much as we are able.
Many thanks to all of our donors and the many people who are supporting food drives and clothes drives for our most recent refugee families.
In particular, I would like to thank East Cobb Islamic Center for their wonderful collection of men's and boys clothes (winter) and shalwar khameez. These were and still are very much needed by many families who arrived here with little clothing. All the clothes items were distributed to many families and they were all very appreciative! Alhamdullilah for a great effort from ECIC and all of the donors.
May Allah Subhana wa Ta'Ala bless and reward everyone!
